As the Director of Product Stewardship for a department of 9 you will play a pivotal role in leading and mentoring a team to ensure project objectives are met while coordinating initiatives that require a deep understanding of chemical and life science regulations. Your expertise will guide hazard assessments, chemical notifications, registrations, and regulatory communications, ensuring alignment with global compliance standards.
You will oversee regulatory functions, build and maintain regulatory information systems, and provide strategic leadership to meet organizational objectives. This role demands a visionary leader who thrives on diverse challenges and has a proven track record in navigating complex regulatory landscapes.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical oversight for major filings, including REACH registrations.
* Serve as a business liaison across the organization, fostering collaboration and alignment.
* Develop and refine training programs to meet compliance obligations for chemicals and life sciences.
* Interpret and apply local, regional, and global regulatory intelligence to drive innovation.
* Evaluate the regulatory environment and provide strategic advice throughout the product lifecycle.
* Lead key projects that support strategic imperatives and deliver measurable results.
* Provide regulatory support to internal and external customers, including R&D teams, to reduce product and process hazards.
* Support Product Lifecycle Management tools and requirements.
* Assist in developing and implementing policies, objectives, and procedures for chemical compliance programs.
* Lead, motivate, and mentor a high-performing team.
Qualifications
Education:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Law, or a related field.
Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years in regulatory affairs, product stewardship, compliance, chemical consultancy, or risk assessment.
* Proven expertise in EU/UK/US chemical and life sciences regulatory compliance.
* Strong background in product stewardship, including risk assessment, hazard classification, and labeling.
* People management experience is essential.
