About the role… An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Senior Surveyor to join our Property Services Team dealing with disposals, acquisitions, valuation, rent reviews, lettings and all other matters associated with the management of the Council’s commercial property portfolio. You will be required to have a good technical knowledge of either or both, of commercial property management and or experience in land and property acquisition and disposal and valuation. You should have good IT skills, with good presentation and negotiation skills, be able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, be self-motivated and comfortable handling a constantly challenging workload. You will hold a relevant degree or similar qualification. We welcome applications from those RICS qualified, but will also suit APC candidates. Knowledge of commercial property markets Excellent oral and written communication skills. Good presentation and negotiation skills. Able to work to deadlines and deal with varying workloads. Able to work on own initiative. Able to work as part of a team/teams. Knowledge of local authority legislation and procedures. Knowledge of property-related appraisal software, spreadsheets and databases. Good ICT skills. Experience Proven experience of property acquisitions and disposals and/or land and property management. Qualifications Degree or master's qualification in appropriate property-related subject. Member of the RICS or working imminently towards. Current driving licence, access to a car or means to mobility support.
