CY Executive Resourcing are partnering with an acclaimed NHS trust in their search for a Finance Manager to support their frontline operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with NHS experience who is actively pursuing a professional accountancy qualification, to learn and develop with the support of a high achieving NHS trust.
The post holder will be responsible for providing a comprehensive financial management, costing and advisory service, working closely with the Head of Financial Management.
Key responsibilities:
* Support the Heads of Departments on financial management issues including the provision of accurate monthly financial information and advice
* Responsible for the accurate setting of income and expenditure budgets for designated Departments/Directorates of the Trust and to monitor those budgets over the course of the year
* Ensure financial plans are accurate and feasible, to ensure delivery of financial balance and achievement of cost improvements/efficiency savings
* Provide timely and accurate budget reports to the Head of Financial Management
* Production of financial forecasts and dealing with ad hoc requests from the senior Finance team
* Review cost improvement plans and advise on opportunities for further cost improvements, efficiency gains or income generation
* Assist with the completion of the annual accounts
* Contribute to the production of the Trust's PLICS submission that enables a national comparison of service costs across the NHS
* Support the Head of Financial Management in the provision of financial support and advice to all budget managers including the training of non-finance staff on budgetary control
* Contribute to the development of the General Ledger and associated financial systems
* Provide support in the development and review of business cases
You will be a highly motivated individual with experience in the NHS in a Management Accounts/Financial Management position, and currently studying towards a professional accountancy qualification.
You will demonstrate a clear understanding of NHS financial regimes and reporting requirements, along with excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders at all levels.
This is a hybrid role, requiring the individual to work on site in the East Midlands as well as remotely.
