Start a new supportive Class Teacher role in an inclusive Witney-based primary school. They have a strong ethos to adapt to a diverse student and staff body, to be supportive with their educational and SEMH needs.
They need two Teachers to join in April 2025, with opportunities for the successful candidates to work in either KS1/KS2 classes. Each year group, Reception - Year 6, has 2 forms. All staff and SLT are eager to support in PPA and marking to further learn and develop from each other.
This is a great opportunity for any Qualified Teachers seeking a new ECT placement or more experienced Teachers wanting a new environment to meet and collaborate with fellow educators.
The Witney children that attend the primary school are polite and eager to learn and progress. Some students have SEN challenges, which require the successful Teacher to be excellent with behaviour management and able to understand varied SEN needs.
The Witney Class Teacher Responsibilities
1. Comply with school policies and procedures, particularly those relating to child protection and safeguarding.
2. Attend staff meetings, INSET days, parents' evenings, parent consultation meetings, and any other functions or meetings required.
3. Support phase/subject leaders wherever possible, e.g., through attendance at staff and/or key stage meetings.
4. Take responsibility for completing CPD and keeping up to date with developments relating to subject matter.
5. Establish effective working relationships with colleagues and set a good example for pupils through a high level of professionalism.
6. Participate in any performance-related appraisal arrangements made by the school.
7. Assist with the organisation of extracurricular activities.
8. Assist with the promotion of their subject in the school, e.g., through creating displays of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils' work.
