This is a vital role within the finance department, where you will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and various internal departments to optimise cost-efficiency and improve overall financial performance. You'll be responsible for preparing financial reports, supporting audits, and driving key initiatives that contribute to Barons Eden's ongoing success. Your Responsibilities: Prepare and manage accurate financial statements to summarize the company's financial status. Handle quarterly VAT returns and ensure compliance. Develop and produce financial forecasts that aid in strategic decision-making. Oversee cash flow forecasting to ensure liquidity goals are met. Assist with audit preparations and ensure smooth audit processes. Reconcile accounting discrepancies and resolve imbalances in a timely manner. Manage and delegate tasks to junior accounting staff, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Supervise Finance Assistants, covering their roles when needed. Collaborate with senior management, preparing reports to support business decisions. Complete the monthly management pack with precision and detail. Conduct daily income audits, reconciling and verifying monetary transactions. Handle ad hoc financial tasks and special projects as assigned. Person Specification: Essential Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Advanced proficiency in mathematics, accounting principles, and financial processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Highly detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively. Critical thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
