MAN Commercial Protection have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager to join our friendly Head Office team in Solihull.
Hours: 25-30 hours per week.
Salary: £35,000 pro rata
You will be responsible for the accurate, timely and efficient processing of payroll data.
Working alongside our Payroll Controller, you will be responsible for the thorough processing and checking of our large monthly payroll, as well as implementing process improvements to benefit the department and the wider business.
Duties include:
1. To be responsible for processing multiple monthly payrolls for 1500 employees, including starter, leaver, amendments, absence, overtime, statutory payments and pensions.
2. Dealing with discrepancies and queries relating to payroll and resolving or escalating as appropriate.
3. Supporting the monthly financial accounting requirements of the business, including report generation, producing weekly/monthly payroll journals, reconciliations, etc.
4. Responsibility for the running of the Company Pension Schemes - experience with NEST is essential.
5. Raising monthly and ad hoc payroll related payments.
6. Recovering monthly adjustments and deductions.
7. Processing of company cars/P11D's and dealing with associated queries.
8. Completion of all company and year-end payroll processes.
9. Support any Payroll/HR projects as required.
10. Updating of payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
11. Preparation of reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
12. Gender pay gap reporting.
13. Managing sickness processes and all related payments.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Be very experienced in Sage Payroll 50 and have an extensive knowledge of pensions schemes and auto-enrolment, experience working with NEST an advantage.
2. Have excellent attention to detail.
3. Have advanced Excel skills and be familiar with all MS Office programmes.
4. Be extremely organised.
5. Have great communication skills.
6. Be able to work alone and under pressure.
7. Be able to confidently meet monthly payroll targets.
8. Be comfortable working closely with the Senior Management Team.
