Outwood Academy Valley seeks to appoint a colleague to coordinate our bespoke provisions to our wonderful student community. You will join our existing Inclusion team and become a member of the Outwood family. Working as part of the Inclusion team, you will promote the learning and welfare of vulnerable students with a view to achieving full integration back into mainstream school, following a measurable provision delivered by yourself. This is a challenging but rewarding role for the right candidate. You will work closely with the senior leadership team and the Inclusion team to manage the room and provide appropriate and personalised timetables for individual students and groups.
Outwood Academy Valley is a popular and over-subscribed school at the heart of its vibrant community in Worksop, a town rich in history and culture with a historic market centre and growing commuter links for nearby cities, including Sheffield. Worksop is often referred to as the "Gateway to the Dukeries," a term that originates from its proximity to a cluster of ducal estates.
Outwood Academy Valley has 1500 students aged 11 to 16 and shares a Post 16 Centre with Outwood Academy Portland. The Post 16 Centre is just a two-minute walk from the school. Both sites have excellent facilities providing a bright and motivational learning and working environment. We are a welcoming and supportive academy, with a relentless determination to provide the very best education for every child.
We are sure you already have the aspiration to 'transform lives' and this role will allow you to explore the possibilities of delivering alternative courses to cohorts of students to provide them with relevant qualifications. We believe that all teaching and support staff posts within our Family of Schools are key posts in terms of supporting student success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences. As such we are keen to recruit dedicated and ambitious professionals who will add value to our Academy in both academic terms and through involvement in the fabric of learning and success beyond the classroom.
