Are you an experienced professional with a passion for empowering young adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you have a background in supporting learners with SEND to develop life skills, increase their independence, and transition into the workplace?
We are working in partnership with a well-respected Further Education college in Buckinghamshire to recruit SEND Coaches for their Wycombe campus. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your expertise to help students gain the confidence, skills, and real-world experience they need to live and work independently.
The Role:
As a SEND Coach, you will work closely with young adults with SEND, supporting them in practical learning and real-world experiences. Your role will be hands-on, helping students develop the essential skills required for independent living, employment, and navigating life beyond education.
You Will:
1. Work with small groups of students, delivering tailored coaching and mentoring.
2. Support students with communication, budgeting, travel training, time management, and work-readiness skills.
3. Lead real-world learning experiences, including community visits and employer engagement activities.
4. Build confidence and independence in students through structured, supportive sessions.
5. Collaborate with teaching staff and external partners to provide a holistic learning experience.

Experience working with young adults with SEND in an educational, social care, or employability setting.
A strong understanding of barriers to independence and employment for young people with SEND.
