Job summary
MAINPURPOSE OF THE POST:
Tocarry out a range of reception and administrative tasks in relation to the dayto day running of the practices reception area, provide a point of contact forpatients and acting as a focal point of communication between patients, GPPartners and other medical staff.
GENERAL:
Thejob you carry out is an important one, to assist the Doctors in providing ahigh level of primary care. It is essential that the rules and procedures laiddown by the practice are carefully followed in order to complement the role ofthe partners, by providing an efficient and effective administrative, clericaland secretarial network.
Main duties of the job
Receive calls, make calls and divert calls, taking messages as appropriate.
Answer phones within 6 rings and deal with all queries in an efficient and courteous manner including booking appointments and organising home visit.
Welcoming patients to the practice and helping them with their queries.
