Hours of work: Full Time

Overall Purpose of the Post
You will have a strong ethos and passion for Early Years education, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement of your own practice. You will assist the Nursery team to provide high quality care and learning opportunities for the children in Nursery.
Key Responsibilities
1. To assist in providing high quality, child-centred care and education.
2. To participate in planning to provide a range of activities designed to meet the individual and communal needs and interests of the children.
3. To assist with the planning and delivery of a play-based curriculum that responds to the children’s interests, needs, and development.
4. To supervise and encourage positive, safe behaviour for children.
5. To build positive relationships with children by acting as a role model and providing a warm, caring environment.
6. To conduct regular observations on children and assist in completing developmental records.
7. To enhance the nursery's continuous provision to help create a stimulating, enabling, and exciting learning environment.
8. To assist children with personal, social hygiene, and care.
9. To identify and report concerns regarding children’s development and progress.
10. To promote and engage in effective, positive communication with children, colleagues, staff, and parents.
11. To participate in regular staff meetings/events and training.
12. To adhere to the Nursery’s Policies and Procedures.
13. To maintain and complete nursery paperwork (medicine checks, accident forms, etc.).
14. To assist in wrap-around school provision and lunch time duties.
