I have a fantastic new role as a Children’s Residential Registered Manager available now for an experienced & motivated individual – I am looking for a pioneering manager to help shape a supportive, positive, and structured environment for young people.

This is a solo EBD placement supporting a 14-year-old boy.
He’s a bright young person who loves fishing and chilling out with staff, but is currently navigating a tough time influenced by a negative peer group. He can damage property when angry, but does not direct aggression towards staff. Your role will be to build trust, offer consistency, and help him feel safe and supported again.
This growing & passionate care provider offers high-quality, trauma-informed support to young people in their care. With several established and newly opening homes across the East Midlands, they’re looking for caring, committed, and skilled individuals to join the management team.
About the home:
All the homes are 3-bedded EBD placements, but most including this one operate on a 2:1 solo placement model to provide focused, trauma-informed care.

This company offers placements to young people aged between 11-17. They have successfully worked with the young people to rebuild trust & relationships in their other established homes and would like to continue this fantastic work in this new home. There are plans for further homes to open in the near future which paves the way for progression for you.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
✅ Managing a team of Residential workers and coordinating staffing rotas
✅ Working together with the Local Authority to ensure effective matching and placement of young people
✅ To create a culture and ethos where the complex needs of the individual young people and the group are met
✅ Quality assure transition plans and to ensure that these are aspirational in terms of supporting the children to achieve.
✅ To ensure that the physical environment of the home always remains at a high standard
✅ Hold team meetings in order to share information, practice development and share any arising issues with the management team for resolution
✅ Attend a variety of formal meetings in order to represent the Service and/or on behalf of the Children's Services Manager
✅ Contribute to service development
✅ This role includes an expectation of on call, rota cover and out of hours working
✅ Part of the role will be assist with the mobilisation of the home
Minimum Requirements for this
✔ A minimum of 3 years' experience within a Residential setting and a passion for children’s welfare and development
✔ The Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare & Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards this)
✔ A proven track record of at least 2 years effectively managing a team and motivating staff
✔ A working knowledge of relevant OFSTED legislation, regulations and policies and procedures
✔ A manual driving license
