Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our acute stroke and neuro team. This role involves working closely with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide comprehensive assessments and tailored treatment plans for patients in an acute inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough Occupational Therapy assessments for acute stroke patients
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
* Collaborate effectively with MDT members and ensure accurate documentation
* Manage a dynamic caseload, prioritizing patient needs for timely and safe discharges
* Prescribe adaptive equipment and aids to enhance patient independence
Key Requirements:
* Hold an Occupational Therapy degree (MSc or BSc) and full HCPC registration
* Minimum of 12 months NHS experience in an acute stroke/neuro setting
* Evidence of relevant stroke/neuro-specific training
* Strong understanding of stroke conditions and Occupational Therapy models
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
* Proficient in managing caseloads and computer literate
