The Despatch Lead will be responsible for managing the pre-delivery and despatch processes, ensuring all vehicles are thoroughly inspected, meet quality standards, and are prepared for seamless delivery. This role involves leading a team of Pre-Delivery Inspectors and working closely with logistics, quality, and preparation teams to optimise vehicle throughput. Your key responsibilities will be: Oversee all despatch operations at Cinch’s largest vehicle despatch centre, ensuring vehicles are processed efficiently and meet outbound deadlines. Manage and lead a team of Pre-Delivery Inspectors, both cosmetic and technical inspections ensuring vehicles are quality-checked and meet all preparation standards before leaving the site. Ensure quality and compliance, conducting final vehicle inspections to uphold Cinch’s customer expectations. Coordinate with transport providers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure smooth vehicle movements and minimise delays. Monitor and track vehicle readiness, ensuring all vehicles are prepared and released on time for delivery. Drive continuous improvement, identifying process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce lead times. Use data and reporting tools to monitor key performance metrics, ensuring KPIs such as despatch volumes, inspection accuracy, and SLA adherence are met. Ensure site safety and compliance with operational procedures, maintaining a safe working environment for all team members. Act as a key liaison between pre-delivery, logistics, and transport teams, proactively resolving any issues affecting despatch operations. To be successful, you'll bring some of the following experience with you: Experience in vehicle logistics, despatch, or pre-delivery inspection leadership, preferably in an automotive, logistics, or e-commerce setting. Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in training, coaching, and developing operational teams. Excellent problem-solving abilities, able to anticipate and address challenges in a fast-moving environment. A process-driven and detail-oriented approach, ensuring all vehicles meet quality and readiness standards before despatch. A data-driven mindset, with the ability to track KPIs and implement process improvements. Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively across multiple departments and stakeholders.
