We have an exciting opportunity for a Advanced Nurse / Clinical Practitioner to join our evolving Acute Medicine team working within our Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) Unit and supporting the McGill Acute Assessment Unit at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital Winchester.
Main Duties of the Job
SDEC is the provision of same day care for emergency patients who would otherwise be admitted to hospital. SDEC services treat a wide range of conditions including headaches, pulmonary embolus, and cellulitis.
Utilising expert knowledge base and clinical skills, you will:
* Help provide a safe and efficient service to ambulatory medical patients.
* Acting within your role and organisational boundaries, your duties will include initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, prescribing, and evaluation of care.
What We Are Looking For
* We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our team of 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Acute Physician Consultant team.
* Applicants should have the ability to work both independently and autonomously as well as part of a team.

Person Specification
Training & Qualifications
* Post graduate diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice
* Registered Nurse with NMC
* Able to demonstrate a good command of the English Language both written and verbal
* MSc Advanced Clinical Practice
Experience & Knowledge
* Able to demonstrate up to date knowledge and expertise in acute medicine
* Experience of applying research to clinical practice
Skills & Ability
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Previous experience in formal or informal teaching to patients and staff
* Clinical leadership programme

Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 per annum pro rata
