As part of our continued exciting expansion in our East Scotland from our office in Newbridge we are looking for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join our team, reporting to the Commercial Director, providing budget control for a mix of triple tenure sites that include Private, Affordable and Build to Rent residential schemes. What you Will Do The role involves general project coordination and administration, preparation and negotiation of initial site budgets, subcontract procurement and obtaining risk assessments, method statements and safety documentation from subcontractors. You will also undertake site visits and inspections and coordinate these with management and subcontractors on site. You will be responsible for carrying out Subcontract payments; variation claims and final account settlements you will liaise with other departments and external consultants in respect of cost issues and will be responsible for issuing interim payment applications to RSL Partners. The role also involves chairing sub-contract pre-order meetings and attending regular project review meetings; preparing monthly cost reports to ensure cost control throughout the development programme and provision of continuous financial advice throughout to the Site Management teams. What we are looking for Experience: Proven experience in quantity surveying within the residential housebuilding sector. Qualifications: Ideally a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field; Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills, excellent communication, and attention to detail. Knowledge: Familiarity with construction contracts, current building regulations, and industry standards. Proactivity: Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ideally you will have experience in COINS and expertise in MS Word and Excel is essential.
