We are seeking two full-time CT Lead Radiographers to join our Radiology team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust from February 2025.
We are expanding our Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) services at St Albans City Hospital. Equipped with modern CT scanners, the centre will enhance service quality for patients by increasing scanning capacity and reducing referral-to-treatment times.
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services and leading the CT team to ensure the best patient care and clinical outcomes.

The CT Lead Radiographer will be required to work flexibly across a Monday to Friday rota, including long shifts.
The role will primarily be based at St Albans City Hospital, with flexibility to work at our other locations; Hemel Hempstead Hospital and Watford General Hospital.
• Lead and manage the CT team, ensuring a high standard of service delivery to patients.
• Oversee the clinical and operational management of CT services within the Trust, ensuring efficiency and adherence to all standards.
• Provide mentoring and support to radiographers, students, and other healthcare professionals within the team.
• Ensure the completion of QA testing and maintain accurate records to uphold quality and safety standards.
• Actively participate in the Radiology Clinical Governance Programme, contributing to the continuous improvement of services.
• Collaborate with the wider Radiology team to enhance the delivery of patient care, ensuring protocols and procedures are followed.
• Work closely with senior managers and stakeholders to drive innovation and development in CT services.
