Production Electrician

Hours - Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs
Salary to £32k plus benefits
Our established client based in Kettering is recruiting a skilled Production Electrician on a permanent basis to join their machinery production team. This is a dynamic position in which you will play a key role in the manufacturing, development and maintenance of the company's globally exported laboratory testing machinery. About The Role
As a Production Electrician you will be required to carry out the following:
1. Wire a range of machinery from wiring diagrams, commission, quality check and calibrate equipment to meet deadlines
2. Conduct on-site installations, fault-finding and repairs both domestic and overseas
3. Engage in prototype and development work
4. Contribute to the continuous improvement of product designs
5. Support the enhancement of final build quality checks
6. Support documentation of build process
About You
Essential
1. Level 3 qualification in electrical installation/wiring or mechatronics (or equivalent)
2. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings
3. Highly organised with strong time management skills
4. Independent problem solver with excellent communication skills
5. Ability to work both independently and within a team
6. Full UK driving licence
7. A willingness to travel domestically and internationally on an ad-hoc basis (approximately 1 to 5 weeks per year)
Desirable
1. Experience in panel wiring
2. Experience of work-related travel
3. Customer facing experience
4. Mechanical fitting experience
5. Knowledge of PLC logic/programming and motor drive inverters
6. PAT qualification
