The successful candidate will be a member of the Fund Finance team, working within fund accounting, ensuring efficient administration of the LCM strategies. The role will be varied in scope, encompassing fund accounting processes as well as deal support and related legal and corporate secretarial processes. What you’ll do The Job Holder will work as a Compliance & Corporate Junior Associate within our Legal and Compliance function, covering various regulatory and compliance tasks for the Company. The role will be based in London. Working in support of the Chief Compliance Officer and the Compliance team: o Assisting in the drafting and provision of compliant training programmes and updating of compliance policies on behalf of LCM in accordance with regulation and guidance o Assisting in regulatory compliance, oversight, control, support and coordination in accordance with statutory requirements in the UK for LCM as an FCA regulated business o Manage and maintain a regular monitoring and reporting process to the team and, as may be required, senior management, the investment committee and the board of LCM and the funds o Assist in the drafting of Compliance Board Reports to the LCM strategy Fund Boards, LCM Capital board of members and senior management o Assisting with periodic filing, reporting and regulatory submissions to the CSSF on behalf of the fund(s) o Assist in overseeing and managing the external compliance consultant review programme, implementing changes as required o Drafting and managing the compliance responses to investor due diligence queries Corporate Administration o Deal with correspondence / reports / board papers, including those of a confidential and sensitive nature on behalf of LCM and the fund entities as required and in conjunction with the Legal Team and the Fund Administrator o Responsibility for management of LCM’s minute book and statutory or regulatory corporate registers o Maintain Group structure charts and company information o Management of SM&CR updates and periodic reviews o Working with Legal and Fund Operations, to provide support for and coordination of internal and external roles in establishment of new corporate entities and processes o Provide administrative support to the implementation of Legal and Compliance policies, processes, governance and training as required o Provide administrative support to the closing and signing processes of transactions across LCM and the funds as required AML & Financial Crime o Assisting in the management of all AML/KYC and regulatory requests for LCM and the funds from internal and external parties, counterparties (sellers, purchasers, consumers) and auditors etc o Providing assistance on transactional counterparty AML risk assessments, KYC/KYB collation, relationship monitoring, sanctions and PEP screening on behalf of LCM o Know Your Investment on-boarding on behalf of LCM o Assist in the review and monitoring of external service providers’ AML/CFT/Sanctions processes o Responsible for LCM’s general AML compliance with UK, Ireland, Luxembourg, Cayman Islands and wider EU AML requirements to ensure that the AML programme is consistent with all applicable local laws, regulations and rules and updated, as required o Draft quarterly AML Board Reports, review AML reports of external providers to the LCM strategy Fund Boards In respect of all of the above o Escalate matters to General Counsel/CCO, Senior Management and/or Risk Committee as appropriate o Support to General Counsel/CCO, Legal, Fund Operations, Investment and Finance Teams as required within the scope of this role o Other project work or duties for LCM, the funds or the Group as required by the General Counsel/CCO, Directors or senior management What’s required o 2 years’ experience working in compliance roles within financial services, preferably in asset management with an AML/KYC and financial crime focus o Educated to degree level o Compliance certificate / diploma (e.g. ICA, CISI, CAMS) o Written and spoken English to a high standard o Very good interpersonal skills to facilitate accurate and professional advice at all levels o Strong communication skills – articulate, confident and self-assured, in order to build relationships and deal effectively and appropriately with all individuals internally and externally o Analytical and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail o Microsoft Office, particularly Excel to an advanced level o The ability to work as part of a team, manage tasks and project manage effectively o The aptitude to deal with volume queries, multi-tasking and prioritising efficiently Our reward for your work o Competitive salary o Participation in discretionary annual performance related bonus (as an additional % of salary) o Fully paid comprehensive health care plan o Other benefits include pension and life insurance o 25 days holiday o Regular social agenda
