There are many different functions and professions delivering key outputs for the Army. Fleet Management is a specialist team within the equipment branch of HQ Field Army. We support all Field Army units for training, operations, and upgrade programmes. We support Army HQ equipment trials, maintenance plans, fielding plans for new equipment coming in and defielding obsolete equipment. Your focus will be in support of 3rd (United Kingdom) Division fleet management team, this will include times when you must manage expectations of the division, when factored against Field Army wide capacity and resource. Job description You will report directly to the Higher Executive Office Fleet Manager and be responsible for keeping the team briefed on current activity within the division. You will need to be clear in your requests to division and seek to understand their priorities and commitments. Your role will be instrumental in the successful conclusion of many projects, both ongoing and yet to come. It is an exciting time to be joining the team, with lots of changes being implemented and the defence review in progress. You will use a variety of different computer platforms to support training for operations and for data analysing, such as: Churchill, SLIM, JAMES and OPUS.
