Our Commissioning teams help our clients build resilient, sustainable, and state-of-the-art mission-critical facilities across the globe, ultimately providing predictability in completion and ensuring the facilities our customers entrust us to build are operationally ready on handover.
As a Global Senior Technical Manager, you will be part of our quality & commissioning team and with your technical and project management expertise you will ensure projects are planned and managed in a coordinated manner through mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning/handover phases. You will have prior experience managing high performing teams to achieve excellent predictable results for our customers.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
1. Mechanical/HVAC subject matter expert (SME) in mission critical systems commissioning and operation.
2. Ability to interpret all design documentation and ensure the facility operates within the parameters outlined by the customer and design team.
3. Ensure our teams are supported in alignment of testing and commissioning to our stringent safety requirements - especially PTW, SSOW and LOTO systems, etc.
4. Able to define scope and provide clear direction to execute same to completion.
5. Ensure project setup and execution framework is aligned to internal best practice.
6. Has the ability to offer comprehensive guidance to all stakeholders involved in the project regarding the commissioning process. This includes clearly communicating the expectations, roles, and responsibilities associated with commissioning, whilst also ensuring that everyone is held accountable for their commitments, guaranteeing that all stakeholders are contributing effectively to the successful completion of the project.
7. Able to provide a commissioning and completion strategy for each asset (L0-L6) from planning to handover.
8. Implement strategies based on lean management principles. This involves streamlining processes, eliminating waste, and maximizing productivity to achieve the most efficient commissioning process.
9. Ability to visualize, explain and manage the construction completions and pre-commissioning strategies execution to all stakeholders and influencing “buy-in” to ensure timely turnover to the start-up & commissioning teams.
Show your expertise
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (+10 years’ experience) – Electrical (or associated) etc.
2. Must have thorough knowledge in base discipline with excellent working knowledge of other disciplines required to deliver technically advanced data centre MEP systems.
3. 10+ Years of experience in “hands-on” commissioning and commissioning management with thorough knowledge of commissioning technically advanced electrical systems and interfaces, ideally gained with CxA, vendor, GC, etc.
4. Possesses a Project Management Certification or has equivalent experience in the fundamentals and planning aspects of project management. 10+ Years of experience in managing completion of control systems from planning to execution.
5. Ideally have experience of commissioning across numerous industries (oil & gas, power, pharmaceutical, etc.) with expert knowledge of data center commissioning.
6. Strong leadership ability to work with cross functional teams and influence decision making in line with our project delivery requirements.
