- System Level Location: Midlands About the Role As a Senior Functional Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our clients cutting-edge automotive systems.
You will be responsible for delivering key safety-related deliverables, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving innovation in functional safety.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement functional safety strategies aligned with ISO 26262:2018 standards.
Lead the creation of safety-related documents such as Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), Safety Concept, Safety Requirements, and Verification & Validation (V&V) plans.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of safety considerations into the product development lifecycle.
Perform system reviews, integration, and V&V activities to validate safety requirements and mitigate risks.
Collaborate with suppliers and partners to ensure compliance with safety standards and timely delivery of components.
Identify and implement innovative solutions to address complex safety challenges.
Stay updated on the latest industry trends and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in functional safety engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
Strong understanding of ISO 26262:2018 standards, particularly Parts 3 and 4.
Proficiency in safety analysis techniques such as FMEA, FTA, and HARA.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
