Role Description
Job Purpose:
Lead and support the team in ensuring maximum utilisation of resources and equipment to achieve efficient production of Right First Time products. To deputise for Shift Operations Manager as required. This is to be achieved within the company quality, safety, and environmental frameworks whilst developing a team working and continuous improvement culture.
Rotating Day Shift:
06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00 Monday – Thursday
06:00 – 12:00 / 12:00 – 18:00 Friday
Key Responsibilities
1. Support an Operations team by proactively managing the team to meet daily/weekly production plan demand, with emphasis on enabling the factory to respond to growth plans.
2. Raise culture and behavioural values to ensure the teams are well placed to respond.
3. Maintain operational flexibility with efficient utilisation of resources of the site support functions (Engineering, Logistics, Technical).
4. Ensure the safety of our people and products.
5. Focus on short to medium-term planning (week 1 to week 4).
6. Operate within a unionised environment where continuous improvement is essential.
7. Build strong relationships with team members, peers, and colleagues.
8. Model and encourage the right values and behaviours.
9. Embed the supply chain strategy throughout the team and department.
10. Ensure company and site processes and procedures are followed.
11. Manage budgets and assist in capital expenditure projects, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
