Learning Support Assistant - About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work 1:1 with a Year 5 pupil with ADHD and challenging behaviour, providing essential support to help them engage in learning and achieve their potential. Collaborating with teachers, SEN staff, and parents, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing tailored support to a Year 5 pupil, helping them manage ADHD-related challenges and behavioural difficulties.
2. Assisting with classroom tasks and ensuring the pupil remains engaged in learning activities.
3. Implementing strategies to promote focus, self-regulation, and positive behaviour.
4. Monitoring the pupil's progress and adapting support strategies as needed.
5. Working closely with staff and parents to ensure a consistent approach to support.
