Sitting within British Cycling Events, our Major Events team works passionately to deliver world leading events that unite riders, fans and communities to deliver positive, lasting change. About you You are a seasoned event professional with a proven track record in planning and executing large-scale events. You thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment, excited to build positive relationships with colleagues, external stakeholders and delivery partners to deliver world class events. You will have experience of managing complex projects and budgets with the ability to manage tasks across multiple workstreams simultaneously. You have experience working on international cycling events ideally in areas such as sport services, protocol, supplier and stakeholder management and UCI systems and processes. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for managing and building relationships. This role requires a high level of entrepreneurial thinking, we are looking for someone who can think outside of the box, is solution focused and can calmly make decisions under pressure to short timelines. A good level of general education, preferably degree level or equivalent. IT literate, including experience in the use of Microsoft Office to an intermediate level. What will you be doing? The focus of the role is to support the operational delivery of the Lloyds Tour of Britain events and the successful candidate will be a key player in improving our operational efficiency and excellence. Reporting BCE’s Operations Director, you will work collaboratively across multiple functions and oversee the development of Lloyds of Britain operational plans and deliverables with responsibility for overseeing the connection between sport and event operations. Areas of responsibility include: Team Services UCI Regulations and Processes Sport and competition operational overlay and connection with Technical Delivery Team Commissaire and Officials Anti-Doping and Medical Sport Protocol Race Manual Supplier and Stakeholder Management In addition to playing a key role in the delivery of Lloyds Tour of Britain, the successful candidate will also support the delivery of other events in the portfolio for example, Road National Championships in June.
