You would be providing care-oriented administrative, strategic and responsive support to freelance Artist and Community Organiser, Lateisha Davine Lovelace-Hanson. This will be on a weekly basis, 3 hours Per Week at £40PH (with a strong desire to extend Hours). Remote and in-person. Job share role.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and reliable freelance support worker to assist a Black disabled eco-feminist artist-organiser in achieving their goals by removing the impact of barriers, capacity-building, bolstering work streams, and advocating for their needs.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable setting up their work day in accordance with the artist's requirements and will take initiative. We are looking for a candidate who acknowledges and can meet their own needs required for the role, is a responsive learner, pays attention to detail, and is able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
We are looking for someone with previous experience providing support to a mid-level career practitioner, in either the arts or health/wellbeing sector. Preferably with experience that spans across grassroots and/or startup and organisational settings.
The role is based primarily in London, largely remote, with occasional requirement for in-person support in South-East London and/or at venues across the city.
Candidates must be able to commit up to 3 hours p/w on a Thursday, with some flexibility for change of day or additional hours when necessary (subject to additional funding outcomes).
The Artist is living with Long Covid that sometimes shows up as:
* Chronic fatigue
* Chronic pain
* Fluctuating heart rate
* Fluctuating energy
* Brain fog
* Migraine
The artist is dyslexic and therefore needs:
* Clear structures and clear emails
* Reflection time embedded into working processes
* Creative processing e.g. visual notetaking, movement, journal-note taking
Job Requirements
You will be taking over this role from someone in post for 1.5 years; therefore, we are looking for someone who is able to take ownership and be committed to this work. To have fun, find the joy of radical collaboration and solidarity work, whilst providing focused, strategic and non-hierarchical support, ensuring sustainable conditions for the Artist's rest, vision, and work.

* Due to the nature of the Artist's work, we are only accepting applications from Global majority/BIPOC.
* Previous experience in wellbeing, somatic, and earth-based practices.
* Knowledge or experience in radical HR or workspace welfare.
* Candidate has their own community, creative practice, or earth-based practice.
Job Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Admin Support:
* Access protocols / supportive management using Google Drive and WhatsApp
* Responding to emails
* Funding application support
* Access advocacy
* Scribing/Minute Taking during meetings
* Prioritising rest and regular check-ins
* Body doubling (In-Person & Online)
* Wellbeing and embodiment strategies (e.g. grounding techniques, mindfulness tools, somatics/energy-based practices)
* Clear communication tools
* Monitoring the Artist's tasks/work in line with their recovery and care timelines
In-person support:
* Workshops/events assistance (on occasion)
* Access support at events (on occasion)
* Travel coordination and buddying (in accordance with access needs)
Overall:
* Support with research e.g. compiling lists
* Buying/sourcing resources e.g. event materials
