Salary: £29,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)
About Us: Lochaber Fisheries and Conservation Trust is a charity working to conserve and protect wild fish and freshwater habitats across the Lochaber region, in the West Highlands, since 1996.
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced fish biologist to help us deliver our fisheries management work, meeting our objectives to conserve wild fish populations across the region. Based at our office in Torlundy, Fort William, the senior biologist will lead a small team developing and delivering monitoring programmes.
Qualifications: We are looking for someone with knowledge and practical experience of fisheries monitoring and management, aquatic habitat management, and an understanding of factors affecting wild fish populations. Ideally, this will have been gained through salmonid fisheries management.
Candidate Profile: The successful candidate will need to be a well-organised, motivated, and hard-working person who is enthusiastic, passionate, and works well within a small team. A flexible approach will be needed as some evening and weekend working will be required. A full UK driving licence is essential.
