We are recruiting on behalf of an exceptional College in Cumbria and require a motivated, proactive and experienced Technician/ Tutor to assist in The Motor Vehicle Department.
The Tutor position will start ASAP. The position will run Monday to Friday and shifts are 6 hours each day.
The role is long term - term time only.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Of the Technician Role
* To maintain equipment and plan maintenance schedules on a regular basis to support course delivery.
* To reorder materials following financial processes to maintain stock levels of materials to support course delivery.
* To support Lecturers when needed in guiding and demonstrating techniques during practical lessons.
* To be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of student learning areas (e.g. workshops, salons, laboratories) depending on the curriculum area, ensuring the provision of an efficient and safe working environment.
* To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required.
* To undertake a minimum of 30 hours (pro rata) continual professional development (CPD).
REQUIREMENTS of the Technician Role
* Good level of Maths and English.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to complete an application.
* Kindness, enthusiasm and proactivity with great organisational skills.
* Previous experience of working in schools or childcare settings in a Technician Role.
* Confident, friendly and hardworking.
* The ability to build rapport quickly and develop positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
