Our client is a family run, luxury 4 star hotel situated on the South Devon coast with enviable sea views. This beautiful property boasts a 2 AA Rosette main fine dining restaurant as well as a terrace bar and poolside bistro as well and an on-site food led pub – the latter of which is ran by a separate team of chefs. Fresh, locally sourced produce is a proud feature of the hotel, mixing classic dishes and new favourites. The menu for the fine dining restaurant changes daily with a weekly rotation.
What’s involved?
As a Chef de Partie, you will work as part of a well established team of 11, catering for the main fine dining restaurant, bistro and bar. A lot of prep work will be involved as you can expect to cater for an average of 70-100 cover per night, using locally sourced produce, but should always monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins. You will work closely with the senior kitchen team whilst also managing and training any junior chefs working with you, ensuring yourself and others have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of heath and safety at all times.
Experience in a similar establishment or a formal restaurant background would be ideal for this role.
