Your Role as a Year 1 Teacher Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and interactive lessons tailored to Year 1 pupils. Foster a supportive and stimulating classroom environment where children feel confident and valued. Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback. Encourage children to develop early literacy and numeracy skills through engaging activities. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure every child reaches their potential. Participate in staff meetings, training, and school-wide initiatives. What We’re Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1. A strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. A passion for inclusive education and fostering a love of learning in young children. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
