As a SEA Principal Systems Engineer, you will take responsibility for the technical leadership during the design, development, and support of our products. You will be required to take the lead, progressing the design, development, design proving, test, commissioning, and the in-service support of the equipment as part of a multi-disciplined team. This work may involve sensitive information, so the applicant must be able to obtain security clearance.
You will utilise state-of-the-art methods, technology, and tools to explore all aspects of the development lifecycle, engineering analysis, requirements analysis, design, implementation, test, build, and product support. There is a requirement to interface with customers (internal and external) on many factors within the design and liaise closely with Engineers from all disciplines: Systems, Software, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering.
The role will see the job holder joining a successful engineering company, which has ambitious plans to develop new and technologically challenging markets across the world. The job holder will be required to work occasionally at SEA’s other locations and from customer and supplier sites.

What you'll be doing
1. Technical leadership of defined work packages
2. Leading and mentoring project team members
3. Managing Requirements throughout the Engineering Lifecycle
4. Proving Technical inputs to bidding activities
5. Integration and production qualification activities
6. Taking Prototypes and developing them into Products
7. Work Package Generation
The skills you need
1. Extensive Knowledge and experience of working within Verification and Validation
2. A good understanding of requirements capture and experience of using DOORS to manage requirements
3. Excellent Communication skills
4. Knowledge and understanding of using MBSE
5. Leadership and Leading Teams
6. Experience of UK MOD Maritime Weapons Equipment
