A leading, award-winning Civil Engineering contractor is actively seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position in Glasgow. This is to manage a new division within the company including Civil and Energy related projects, which requires an experienced Surveyor to manage. What you'll be doing:
1. The successful Managing Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of the division's projects;
2. Preparing tender and contract documents, including performing risk, value management and cost control;
3. Manage project costs from concept to completion and through to the end of defects liability;
4. Oversee contractual commitments, challenging and supporting to identify best value solutions;
5. Client focused with the ability to build and manage effective relationships with multiple stakeholders;
6. Manage the preparation of the monthly CVR and associated commercial reports.
What you'll need to be successful:
1. The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified, with at least an HNC in Quantity Surveying;
2. Experience in Civil Engineering fields is preferable;
3. At least 10+ years' post-graduate experience in Quantity Surveying;
4. Varied and extensive Contract management experience using NEC, FIDIC, JCT and bespoke forms of Contract;
5. Experience in leading a team of surveyors from trainee to SQS.
