We are recruiting a band 7 Specialist Physiotherapist on a fixed term basis to join the Urgent Community Response Therapy team within South Tees and help support some of the initiatives being implemented in the community.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust Community Collaborative are working hard to improve the offer of community services ensuring that the local population across Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland receive support in their own homes. As a result, there have been changes to service provision recently meaning that services can be delivered by the right member of staff in the right place at the right time.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest teaching hospital trusts in the country, close to the North Yorkshire Moors and within easy reach of Newcastle and Leeds. It comprises two acute hospitals, James Cook University Hospital and Friarage Hospital Northallerton and a number of community hospitals and community services. Therapy services at South Tees NHS Trust are also part of the wider Integrated Therapy service in Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland.
The post holder, working alongside other Specialist Therapists, will have shared responsibility for leadership and clinical practice within the Urgent Community Response / Hospital at Home and Home First Service by means of an innovative and collaborative approach to work-related issues.
They will act as a clinical expert utilising well-grounded academic skills to lead in the area, demonstrating advanced specialist skills and knowledge, whilst assuming professional responsibility and accountability in the assessment and treatment of patients within their own homes.
They will work flexibly across 7 days a week and will adapt to the changing needs of the service.
Successful candidates must have access to a vehicle for work purposes to meet the requirements of the role.
