Here at Konecranes we have 3 Business Areas, one of which is Port Solutions, focusing on lifting equipment and automation solutions within a port environment; equipment includes, Rubber Tyre Gantry, Automated Stacking Crane to name but a few. Continuing to support our customer's needs we are recruiting a Specialist Port Service Engineer to perform the commissioning, installation and longer-term support of this equipment. The role will be specific support for key customers in the Essex coastal region, however being willing to travel with in Europe is a requirement for this role. You will report to the Operations Manager, Port Solutions You Will: Carry out electrical installation, commissioning, inspection, and testing including service and repair of Port Solution products, such as Rubber tyre gantry cranes, Automated stacker cranes. Rectify equipment malfunctions, in electrical equipment, drive technologies and PLCs in an industrial environment. Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues Carry out accurate and descriptive problem reporting Complete inspection and examination documentation You Have: Skills in performing electrical commissioning and repairs to machinery, PLC's and drives. Electrically qualified with a basic understanding of mechanics. Advanced Knowledge of Siemens S7 and automation systems. Good working knowledge Networking and BUS systems. Experience and knowledge of complex IT systems. Ethernet/IP based device communication.
