Let us tell you a bit about the opportunity You will play an integral role in solving the key business problems in Property, including optimisation of risk and return. In doing so, you will drive a step change in the quality of strategic, data-led decision making in the division. You will create insightful reports, analyse the key outputs and provide actionable recommendations into key Property teams, such as Products and Sales, to help grow our business safely and effectively. What will your day look like? Provide meaningful analysis of the division’s credit risk profile, and utilise data to support the development of lending criteria, mortgage affordability models and use of credit scorecards to meet strategic objectives Work with and develop statistical models used in various areas of the business Drive actionable insight across the main themes of customer, broker, commercial performance and credit risk Provide analytical rigour to both big strategic challenges and more granular, “business as usual” questions that support our Credit Risk, Sales, Products and Operations teams Ensure decision-making in the division is underpinned by key metrics such as return on capital and earnings volatility Provide meaningful, actionable insight for committee papers and management dashboards What do we expect from you Exceptional data analytics skills, underpinned by proficiency in relevant software such as SAS, SQL and/or Tableau Ability to hone in on the key insight within data sets, and develop actionable business recommendations from data Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the curiosity to understand a business model in detail to support meaningful analytics Good presentational skills and ability to articulate insight in a way that’s compelling and appropriately succinct; and Solid background in credit risk would be an advantage.
