NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for a Materials Controller role on a Contract basis in the Grangemouth area for our client.
This role has the following duties:
1. To carry out accurate stocktaking of Bulk storage vessels, Packages Chemicals, and New packages, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
2. Following Process Instructions and Process Operating Instructions step by step and completing the critical information.
3. Transfer packages to the production plants in line with production demand, ensuring the correct paperwork is raised and completed accurately and in full.
4. Support routine waste procedure from initiation to transferring to the Hazard Slab, including updating the appropriate spreadsheets.
5. Responsible for all tankers and drivers on site, including ensuring drivers work safely when on site, all tankers have the correct fittings, tank farm barriers are secure at all times, all delivery and collection documentation is correct, and all delivery weights and quantities are correct.
6. Proactively manage own training cards and validations.
7. Request raw material from the warehouse to support production demands.
8. Report any late Deliveries or collections.
9. Carry out housekeeping duties to maintain high visual standards in the tankfarms and hazardous storage area.
10. Comply with local and site Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures whilst carrying out all activities associated with the role.
11. Wear PPE, including RPE as specified for designated duties. It is a requirement to be clean shaven when wearing close-fitting RPE (e.g. dust masks).
12. Carry out structured monitoring daily for area of responsibility.
13. Ensure chemicals are segregated as per pre-defined storage area layout.
14. Inspecting, recording and loading of completed Active Ingredients to the applicable trailers ready for transferring to warehouse.
Critical knowledge required for the job:
1. Previous experience of stocktaking, loading and off-loading vehicles and bulk tankers.
2. Current Fork Lift Truck Driving Licence [awarded by ABA member awarding body; Course should satisfy nationally recognised criteria (ITSSAR or RTITB)].
3. Previous experience of operating to the appropriate HSE standards on a Chemical Site.
