Our client is seeking a driven professional who will ensure projects are in full compliance with building regulations. This role is key to ensuring that the design work is effectively coordinated, and that all stages of the design process contribute to safe and compliant construction outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Manage, plan, and monitor design activities during the design phase, ensuring that all aspects of the design meet the required standards and regulations. Ensure full coordination of design work, working closely with all involved parties-designers, the client, principal contractors, and others-to foster collaboration and achieve regulatory compliance. Oversee the design coordination to ensure that the final project design, if built as specified, adheres to all relevant building regulations. Work closely with the principal contractor, sharing vital information to assist in the planning, monitoring, and coordination of construction activities in alignment with building regulations. Regularly liaise with the project team, offering guidance and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle. Core Duties: Maintain a project-specific tracker for building regulations compliance and ensure it is up to date throughout the project. Organize and lead design review sessions to facilitate collaborative input and quality assurance. Conduct site inspections on a sample basis to assess construction compliance and resolve any issues. Complete and sign off on declarations for Building Control at the conclusion of each project. Current project portfolio includes over 10 ongoing projects; schools, logistics facilities, and fit-out developments. The Ideal Candidate: A driven professional with an architectural or design management background, who has a solid understanding of building regulations (doesn't need to be an expert).
