We are delighted to be working exclusively with a growing SME business in Bridlington that provides compliance and business services to the construction industry. Due to someone leaving to go on maternity leave, they are now looking to add people to their Customer Service and Admin team who have leadership potential.
Working within a busy team of around 15 people, this is a hands-on role where you will learn new skills and have the opportunity to develop as a leader.
The position would be ideal for someone with business or management qualifications that has not yet put them to the test or someone who works within a team and wants to progress.
What the Senior Customer Service and Admin role involves:
* Delegating workload in a busy department
* Coordinating rotas and shifts for all team members
* First point of contact and final decision maker for the team and their customers
* Identifying and coordinating training and development for each member of the team
* Creation of the annual training plan for the team to upskill and retrain where necessary
* Coaching and mentoring team members
* Attending senior management meetings to update the board on your team performance
* Managing grievances and disciplinaries or other HR issues within the team
* Onboarding and training of new starters
* Managing absence and sickness within the team, conducting return to work interviews
* Managing holidays for the team, checking that there are enough people to cover any absences
Skills required:
* Previous experience of managing own workload and possibly others
* Exposed to on-the-job training, developing and coaching
* Highly organised and able to manage a busy and demanding workload
* Attention to detail and process-driven
* Able to build relationships and get the best out of people
* Experience of an admin-based/customer service team
* Good IT and communication skills
* Able to deal with disputes and customer care

* Full-time Monday to Friday 8.00 – 5.00 (2.5 hours back each week on a rota)
