Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Colposcopy Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. The successful post holder will become part of a well-established experienced colposcopy team. Appropriate teaching, training, supervision and on-going support will be provided to enable you to improve our patient's experience throughout their pathway.You should be able to work independently, and as part of a multidisciplinary team, have the ability to support a caseload of patients through their Colposcopy pathway of care. As an integral member of our team you will be involved in developing current nursing practice according to patient need. Main duties of the job You must be a BSCCP accredited Nurse Colposcopist) and be committed to maintaining excellent quality of care for women attending Colposcopy clinics within MSE. In this role you will provide advanced, specialized clinical skills that are evidence based in assessment, diagnostic and treatment for women with cervical disease. Demonstrable advanced skills of interpretation of results/investigations in conjunction with planning appropriate follow up and /or treatment or make onward referrals as appropriate, is also of paramount importance for the role. The right candidate will, in conjunction with the Lead Nurse Colposcopist, Lead Consultant Colposcopist and other Colposcopy team members, support and strive to develop and maintain a high quality, efficient Colposcopy service - ensuring adherence to local and national Policy/Guidance.
