We’re looking for a diligent fabricator to manufacture our largely hand-crafted canal boat windows.
Unless you’re in the canal boat industry, chances are you’ll never have heard of us, but we are now celebrating our 46th year in business and are very well known in our industry.
If you do not take great pride in crafting products, this isn’t the job for you. We’re a small team and won’t carry slackers, so you’ll need to be ‘on your game’ pretty much all the time.
Please note that whilst this role is working on aluminium windows, candidates with a carpentry background are encouraged to apply. Our products are very much handmade, therefore the role would suit someone that enjoys making things and seeing the end product.
Whilst still being relatively small and family run, the company is extremely successful in what they do and are keen to bring on ambitious individuals to support their plans for future growth. The main responsibility of the Aluminium Window Fabricator will be to manufacture high quality boat windows, once formed, prepped and coated, by following a works order specific to each customer. Additional duties will include, but not be limited to:

* Using both hand and motor tools to assist the window fabrication process.
* To quality check and clean all finished windows.
* To work as a team member to ensure deadlines are met.
* To ensure accuracy and consistency in measurement, cutting and quality with a constant eye for detail.
* To be responsible for keeping the work area tidy and organised and have a clean housekeeping attitude.
* To participate in the continuous improvement processes operated in the manufacture of aluminium windows.
* To be prepared to assist with the fitting of the windows on boats, throughout the spring and summer.
To be considered for the role of Aluminium Window Fabricator, you must have sound communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. * Must be willing to learn with a drive to becoming skilled in the company’s business
* Must have a good work ethic and a positive, professional manner
