About the Department:
The Law Department sits within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology and is part of a collaborative, supportive academic community.
About the Opportunity:
As a Lecturer in Law, you will contribute to the development and delivery of our new degree programmes. You will report into one of our Senior Lecturers within the Department, and will:
* Deliver engaging and dynamic workshops both face-to-face and online for our campus based and distance learning students.
* Take on module leadership, ensuring consistent quality and development of learning materials and schemes of work.
* Oversee assessment marking, create authentic assessments, and provide high-quality feedback.
* Support the creation of new programmes and refresh existing ones to align with industry trends and employer requirements.
* Collaborate with colleagues to provide academic advice and support to students.
* Drive innovation in teaching design, methods and assessment.
About You:
Essential Skills / Experience:
* You will be qualified to postgraduate level in English Law.
* You should have the knowledge to be able to teach across the LLB curriculum including the foundations of legal knowledge and at least two other modules offered by the Law Department.
Desirable Skills / Experience:
* A PhD in Law and/or legal practice experience is welcome but not essential.
* Ideally, you will hold FHEA or an equivalent teaching qualification.
