This role is site based at our NCC England East Campus. The target salary for this role is £33,
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team of Teaching Assistants at our NCC England East Campus at Bircham Newton, Kings Lynn, Norfolk. The role of the Teaching Assistant is primarily to support learners with additional learning needs, working alongside our instructors and lecturers to help learners achieve their full potential and overcoming the barriers to learning.
Essential criteria:
2. Experience of supporting learners with additional needs in an education setting.
3. English and maths qualifications at level 2 or above.
4. Educated to level 3 or above.
5. Excellent IT skills including Office Word and Excel.
6. Prepared to work towards and achieve relevant teaching qualification to at least level 3 (achieved within 9 months).
7. Confidence to advise and challenge on all aspects relating to additional learning support.
8. Ability to motivate, enthuse and develop positive attitudes in learners and supporting them to overcome barriers to learning and progression.
9. Prepared to work toward and achieve relevant qualifications that support the curriculum area.
10. Well organised and efficient with the ability to manage own workload.
11. Strong team player with the ability to support others.
12. Excellent organisational skills.
Desirable criteria:
13. Teaching qualification level 5
14. Assessor Awards
15. Degree level education
16. Experience of apprenticeship delivery
17. Knowledge of learning support relating funding requirements
18. Coaching and/or mentoring qualification
Other requirements:
19. Able to work non-standard hours as required from time to time
20. Able to travel and make occasional overnight stops when required
21. Full Driving Licence
22. Enhanced DBS check
