Business Sales Administrator
Location: Telford
Type: Permanent
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday
We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join one of our well-established clients, who offers a great working environment and has a family-run feel to the company. A predominantly office-based role, you will be working with the Operations/Manufacturing/Engineering teams to help the field-based sales team accelerate customer acquisition, ensure customer retention and growth, contributing to delivering the company's growth targets.
Responsibilities:
1. Help research, develop and manage lead and prospect data.
2. Work closely with marketing to deliver sales materials and campaigns, e.g. social, eMarketing, direct marketing, presentations, etc.
3. Manage enquiries and supplier quotations. Collate information, check for accuracy, and streamline the quotation process. Help identify and resolve production and operational issues.
4. Receive and process purchase orders, liaising with engineering and operations to deliver smooth and timely handovers from sales to production.
5. Understand production schedules and maintain contact with customers and suppliers by phone or email to give progress updates, answer queries, obtain missing information and up-to-date forecasts, as well as minimising slow-moving stock.
6. Maintain and update sales and customer records, utilising various systems, including Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP.
7. Run monthly and ad hoc sales reports, as required.
8. Expedite queries and orders, as well as help with issue resolution, through effective and supportive internal liaison with engineering, operations, and other business departments, as necessary.
9. General business administrative and housekeeping tasks.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Customer/Supplier account management experience.
2. Interest in engineered manufacturing and supply chain management.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.
5. Ability to prioritise, organise, and juggle a demanding workload.
6. IT literate and competent in the Microsoft suite of applications.
7. Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
8. A positive attitude, working with others to resolve issues.
9. A hunger to grow oneself, alongside business growth.
10. Understanding of MS Dynamics Navision is an advantage.
11. Knowledge of working with a sales CRM is an advantage.
