Job Title: Occupational Therapist – East Hull City
Rate: £33.15 per hour
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for our community members by helping them achieve independence and well-being.
Responsibilities:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical, psychological, and social needs, and develop and implement personalized treatment plans to enhance their daily living skills. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care and support, educate clients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment, and monitor and evaluate clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Additionally, you will maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation, and participate in community outreach programs and initiatives to promote occupational therapy services.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Diploma or BSc in Occupational Therapy
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full UK licence
* Post-qualified experience in Clinical Supervision
* HCPC registered
Completion of Care Act, MCA Dols, and Human Rights Act training, including Making Safeguarding Personal training, is required. Experience in community care assessment, therapeutic intervention, and practical knowledge of treating a range of disabilities. Experience in manual handling assessments and care planning. Experience working in a community setting, undertaking home visits and assessments. An understanding of co-production, personalisation, and person-centred practice. Experience working in a team, being supportive of colleagues, and having a flexible approach to team working. Experience working in a multi-agency environment.
The ideal candidate will possess effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. They should have the ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain concise and up-to-date case records. Proficiency in IT, including a good level of skill in word processing and email, is essential. Experience with databases such as Carefirst, Swift, and Liquid Logic is also required. The candidate should be motivated to work with vulnerable adults and be able to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with them. They should be innovative and creative in supporting disabled people’s independence, resilience, housing, or care needs.
