Senior Capital Accountant
About the Role:
An exciting and challenging opportunity has been created to join the Finance Service at Wirral Council. We are looking for a Senior Capital Accountant to join and support the Capital finance team.
As a key member of the Accountancy team, your primary purpose will be to support the Senior Finance Business Partner to effectively implement and manage the Council’s Capital Programme. You will play a key role in ensuring the Council’s Capital Programme is managed, approved, and maintained in adherence to the Council’s Capital Financing Strategy.
Working with the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will also help to ensure that the Council complies with all necessary capital accounting and reporting requirements.
About the Candidate:
You will be an enthusiastic, motivated, and committed individual, who is able to demonstrate a working knowledge of this area, whilst also possessing excellent communication skills.
This is a challenging position and will require strong financial analysis skills and input into reporting for various stakeholders. Candidates will preferably have experience in a local government finance environment.
