Registered Forensic Psychologist - HMP Location: York Salary: £58,000 per annum Contract: Full-time, Permanent Role Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Forensic Psychologist (RFP) to work within HMP - York. You will be part of a pioneering team committed to rehabilitation, providing expert psychological support to both prisoners and staff. As an RFP, you will work directly with prisoners, staff, and stakeholders under the supervision of a Principal Psychologist to ensure the delivery of high-quality psychological services that align with professional standards. Key Responsibilities Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions Lead and supervise trainee psychologists within the team Ensure psychological services adhere to HPC Standards of Proficiency and Ethics Support rehabilitation programs that aid prisoner resettlement Assist in parole assessments and report writing Develop and implement strategies for reducing reoffending rates Requirements Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Minimum two years of post-registration experience Supervisory experience, including overseeing Trainee and Assistant Psychologists Experience working within secure or custodial settings preferred Familiarity with the Parole Board process and psychological risk assessments RAPP registration (desirable) Why Join Us?
