Role Overview

As an Application Software Engineer, you will:

1. Lead and manage complex technical projects in a commercial environment.
2. Adapt communication to collaborate effectively within a diverse software team.
3. Mentor junior developers, fostering growth and knowledge-sharing.
4. Work across the full software development lifecycle (design, development, and implementation).

Requirements

Education & Skills
1. 2:1 or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field from a leading university along with high pass marks at A-levels.
2. Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.

Technical Proficiency
1. Hands-on experience with:
o Programming: Node.js, Python, Java
o Databases: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis
2. A general engineering mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Experience
1. Prior experience managing complex technical projects in a commercial setting.
2. Ability to lead and mentor a small team.

Relocation & Work Model
1. Open to relocating to Cambridge (not a fully remote role).
