About the Role
Bauer Media Group is looking for a Transfer Pricing Specialist to join our UK Tax team. You’ll ensure compliance with UK transfer pricing regulations, manage documentation, service reviews, and legal agreements, and analyze ERP data. With transactions across nine territories, this role offers broad exposure to multiple tax jurisdictions. Strong time management, teamwork, and communication skills are essential, as you'll collaborate across the business.
This is a great opportunity for someone moving from practice to industry or looking for a new challenge to shape Bauer’s in-house Transfer Pricing landscape.
Location – Hybrid, UK (with occasional travel to Peterborough and London offices)
Your responsibilities
1. Maintain, develop and implement transfer pricing policies in accordance with OECD guidelines and local tax laws.
2. Conduct benchmarking studies and economic analyses to support arm’s length pricing of intercompany transactions.
3. Gather and analyse data from the ERP system.
4. Build relationships with key business leads responsible for delivering services cross-border to ensure appropriate evidence of service and documentation is maintained.
5. Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation, including Local Files, agreements, financials, and Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) reporting.
6. Work closely with finance, legal, and business teams to ensure ongoing compliance with transfer pricing regulations.
7. Provide guidance on intercompany agreements and pricing structures for transactions.
8. Monitor changes in global transfer pricing regulations and assess their impact on the business.
9. Support the automation and enhancement of transfer pricing processes and reporting.
10. Assist in the preparation of transfer pricing risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
What You’ll Bring
1. 3+ years of experience in transfer pricing, preferably in a multinational corporation or a professional services firm.
2. Strong knowledge of OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and local country regulations.
3. Experience in preparing and reviewing transfer pricing documentation.
4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
5. Knowledge and experience of financial modelling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Alteryx, SQL).
6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
7. Highly attentive to detail and diligent.
8. Ability to manage and organise a varied workload and differing deadlines.
9. Proactive attitude and a collaborative working style.
Desirable:
1. Professional Tax or accounting qualification.
2. A reasonable understanding of other areas of tax and how they interact with transfer pricing.
3. Experience with S/4 Hana.
