Fixed-term contract (from 3rd February 2025 - 18th July 2025) Salary: Grade 4, Point 5 to 7 (£24,790 - £25,584 FTE)
Actual starting salary - £16,866
As part of our Academy’s mission to ensure the best possible engagement and support for all children, the Academy is seeking to appoint a temporary Achievement Support Assistant to work with our children who have Education Health Care Plans.
Responsibilities:
1. Support children’s learning and share in the care and wellbeing of the children
2. Support the emotional, behavioural and pastoral needs of all pupils, including children with additional needs
3. Support individual and small groups of children in the curriculum, to accelerate their learning
4. Carry out specific administrative/ procedural tasks to support the class teacher
5. Be involved in the planning, development and delivery of intervention strategies
6. Observe and monitor pupils’ progress and adapt agreed approaches to their particular needs
7. Provide support and assistance for children’s medical needs
8. Assist in the maintenance of children’s records
9. Work closely with parents and outside agencies to support children’s progress

They should also be able to demonstrate that they meet the criteria below:
1. ASA post in EYFS
2. Experience of working with Early Communication and Interaction outcomes
3. Specific training around speech, language and communication
4. Experience of supporting children’s communication and behavioural needs
5. Experience of Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and Planning
6. Experience of working with outside agencies
7. Specific training in Early Years Foundation Stage
