Description The Customer Success Services (CSS) organisation within Oracle is looking for interns to join and collaborate within the UK team. We are looking for students who have an interest in Cloud technologies, Database, Infrastructure, Applications modernisation, Automation technologies, etc. You will work within the UK CSS Cloud Infrastructure team which is part of an EMEA structure (Europe, Middle East and Africa). As a technology intern here are some examples of the things you could get involved in : Use Oracle technologies (such as Apex) to help modernise and automate existing legacy processes currently using excel, etc. Help manage a document repository which would become a consolidated source of knowledge and tools for experts within the Advanced Service Engineer (ASE) and Technical Account Manager (TAM) teams. Using Oracle technologies this would provide a Wiki like user experience. Learn about important Cloud related technologies such as Compute (Virtual Machines or VM’s), DevOps, Oracle Cloud infrastructure (OCI), Kubernetes, Oracle Applications. You will also have the chance to undertake the relevant training courses and become Oracle OCI certified. Get involved in the Oracle Industry Lab, which is a facility used to showcase cutting edge Oracle technologies to new and existing customers in industries such as Retail, Healthcare, Construction. Assist in the maintenance of OCI labs – these are resources ring fenced within the Oracle cloud which can be used by engineers to build Proof of concepts (POC’s), test out scenarios for customer projects, etc. Liaise with other team members (ASE’s/TAM’s) and assist with project delivery to customers, which will help to delvelop your technical and professional soft skills. What we looking for: Energetic, articulate and motivated students on course for a 2:1 degree or higher with the right attitude and aptitude to succeed in a fast-paced business. Student with placement as part of their undergraduate degree. Computer Science or related degree discipline. Programming language : Python. HTML/JavaScript/JQuery would be a plus. Technical skills : Unix/Linux Shell (e.g Bash) and knowledge of commonly used commands would be a plus. Good understanding of Confluence a plus. Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Self motivated and resourceful, with adaptability and agility to discover new tools and interact with various colleagues and contact points.
