Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute Bupa's government and industry relations strategy across the Bupa Global, India, and UK (BGIUK) market unit. Provide counsel and guidance to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and the Executive Team.
2. Shape and deliver proactive, multi-audience, cross-channel government affairs campaigns to influence healthcare strategy and champion customer issues.
3. Interpret the political landscape and provide insight-led advice to mitigate risks and create conditions for growth. Manage reputational risks and opportunities across BGIUK business lines.
4. Lead the Government Affairs agenda with direct line management of two team members. Manage relationships with key external partners and produce high-quality policy submissions and consultation responses.
5. Provide thoughtful advice on relevant policy and political developments, and brief BGIUK representatives on UK politics and policy matters.
What We’re Looking For
1. Leadership maturity and experience in complex, fast-paced environments. Broad experience in Government Affairs or Corporate Affairs, including crisis management.
2. Strong commercial acumen, excellent presentation and writing skills, analytical skills, and the ability to assume full responsibility for key projects.
3. Gravitas and respectful approach to Executive level stakeholders.
4. Ideally previous experience working in UK government.
